When filing 485, do you know what kind of job letter we need to ask our employer to sign?

I had my fp done on June 19th.
When I spoke to the IO they told me that they have received my "approved" FP on 7/22
I hope i can get the same kind of information from the IO. Will try it today.

Guys,
As you know that I have been talking to one of the IV Admins and their suggestion (since the beginning) is that we send the letters individually.
And I tend to agree with this, here is why:
1) One package with 70 some signature will still be one letter, if each one of sends the letter, it will remind the General Inspector everyday, for at least a couple weeks. The chances of something happening are greater this way. They can ignore 5, 10, 15, but not 70 letters.
Think of this as one rock verses 70 pebbles, and you are trying to hit a target ;)
2) Having a different "From" address on the letter makes it more convincing and authentic that the person writing and sending the letter is not just making up the names (in case we decide not to add the Case number).
3) We can not use the IV name and the top of the letter (refer to my first comment in the letter) as this is not going officially from IV. A copy of the letter, along with the list of names/individuals who sent the letter to DOL will be used by IV during their lobbying meetings, etc.
4) It will help with the logistics (email, Fax, snail mail to intermediate) and people can take a responsibility for doing it.
The not so good reason...
- I am afraid that some people will not send it. I know how it can get when you work late nights since early morning and all you wanna do on Saturday is sleep :).
Options:
I dont think I want to have a separate poll for this, but we do have a couple options here:
1 Send One big letter
2 I create a template so you guys can just put your Name, Address and Case Number (optional) print and send it your self, it will cost you guys less than 5 minutes and less than $1.
What do you say?

No. Last year we had an RFE as my wife's medicals were missing a signature. As Pappu mentioned in another thread most of them were pre approved and were waiting on visa numbers I think.

All,
I filed the online application for EAD renewal on May 3rd and required documents were sent to Phoenix drop box on May 6th. I paid the fees using a credit card. The EAD application was returned on May 15th. Reason a signature is not contained in the signature box of the application or petition. A signature in the "Signature of person preparing form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature for this purpose. Please sign and resubmit the application with the appropriate fees. How do you sign a online application? Did I do something wrong here? The EAD application which I received back from USICS is the applicant copy. Should I sign on the applicant copy or reprint a new completed EAD form. For the fees should I just submit the previous document showing fees paid through credit card.
Any response will be appreciated.

I did not write this bill. You should go to challenge Rep. Issa for that clause. In my previous post, I already said I am perfectly OK if the IV core want to modify the bill, so that the 55K can be applied to everyone. Is that very clear?
My friend there is no need for you to get antoganized with me because what i said in my previous post is more a message to everyone on this forum and is not anything personal against you. In fact i am surpirsed that you are even discussing opening up teh 55K to everyone.
I know you did not write this bill (Would have been nice if you did because you listen to the other persons argument which is sadly lacking in this forum from a long time)
There is no way we can challenge Rep Issa on this clause. We are just individuals. Yes a forum like IV can but question is will IV core do that? And the fact that you are perfectly OK with IV Core modifying the bill only shows good intention on your side but sorry to say this (You would be very naive to think IV Core will entertain such ideas)
Lets just say if IV Core does what you had proposed it will show maturity of thinking of of the group and i for one will be pleasently surprised. Not to say i am waiting with bated breath for that to happen. Call me cynical but thats the way i have seen things happen here

If someone is responsible for the current state of affairs in the H1B area , It is Indian firms . The H1B1 was started in 'GOOD FAITH ' by United States to help people from "all over the world" to come in and work in the US , but large Indian IT houses have overexploited these loopholes so much that we are currently in this sorry state of affairs . In their greed for higher and higher profits(every Indian firm hits 30% profits every quarter ) they have spoiled a perfectly working program a few years ago to such a state that now getting an H1B has got less nothing to do with talent but has become like buying a supperlotto ticket .Below is a very good article from the "Economic Policy Institute " that highlights the fact that 2 well known Indian firms have single handedly lapped up 65% of H1B visas last year and have applied for just 69 green cards . Thats a GC application rate of 0.0004%. i Cannot help agree with the facts in this article. I totally agree that firms like these which abuse the system ought to be severely punished and blacklisted, so that geniunine US companies can get their required workers , when they need them . The Twist is if this is true chances are H. Lofgren will cut a deal, remember there are heavyweights on the other side too. Its too embarrasing for all of them. ( realism)

Yes, you will need to send the original passport along with the filled in application...Since the passport is expired for over an year, check this out:
