You really cannot determine the achievable factor of a goal on a scale of 1 to 100 so that ordering is moot. In fact, there is some merit in keeping our most ambitious goals upfront - with enough support from the community we might just achieve them.

What should the spouse write for her address? Her current address, or mine?

Multiple 485 and EAD filing

Hi,
My wife and I both got our LC approved. She filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently for both of us in Nov.2006 (Nebraska Center), based on her LC. Then I filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently for both of us again in Jan,2007 (Texas Center), based on my LC.
The EADs she applied got aproved pretty quickly. Several days ago, my EAD applications got denied. The denial reason is, we already have approved EAD.
Originally our plan is: My wife will switch to a Finance related job soon (her LC is based on Software job), I will wait for GC. (The reason we still filed for multiple 485 and EAD is that we want to postpone the decision on who should wait for GC). Now I'm totally confused on whether she can use the EAD, and whether I can renew the approved EAD (because they are based on her application).
Any inputs or clarifications will be greatly appreciated.

Yup. One should be ready for the consequences when they apply. Think carefully before you do something and do not make any errors in decisions.There are both advantages and disadvantages. A lawyer office that has done this in the past quoted a case to me. Another non-desi expensive lawyer who always gives accurate information and is not greedy told me that he would not advice multiple filing.

I knew friends in Kaiser who were hired on H1 and got GC through Kaiser..
How the hell can they justify filing new GCs, but not accepting EAD!?
Kaiser stopped hiring on H1 since 2003. They used to hire on EADs until last week.

Other guys, I am not angry with you. We are all on the same boat and not to fight here. Its frustration.
H1 visas or F1 Visas or for that matter many of such things.. Why do you really think they exist.
To help people like you and me to lead a different life style or to benefit the US??
Why do you think so many many people were allowed during the Y2K thing. To make us realize our American dreams??.. You heard me.
If you go by statistics, PhD holders in this country are mostly from outside. Same case with Masters. You will see not that many Bachelors though. Why do MS, INtel, Oracle etc etc strees so much on H1s.
Let it be not real, BUT when you say we are ALL going back with disappointment, the system will look at it differently. The system is broken as top US companies agree. just a question on #2 above - if you are filing second AOS with EVL, why not just withdraw the first AOS once you get the receipt? Wouldn't this be safer?

My wife got the approval on Oct 5th...CPO mail was first followed by approval notice and I also got a CPO mail after 35 days of approval....strange and surreal it seems

I may be wrong since my wife's case was separated.....But this was from my congressman's office who told me that the reason that her case is pending and delayed is because our case got separated during adjudication.

My case was filed on JUly 2nd, I-140 approved at TSC, No RN, No CC, nothing.. frustrating.. everybody else in the world is getting the receipt notice and FP..

i support any action.. but writing to Uscis will help only if your interpretation of law (or lack of law) on spill over is correct. Shouldnt this be confirmed first?

Did you see your checks cashed?
I was transferred to stage 2 IO. He was indeed one of the nicest and patient one to listen to my woes. Anyways.. after taking down my entire details including FS,LS,DOB, Address, Mailing date, Zip, Location, email add and misc things... he successfully emailed and inquiry notice to NSC requesting a followup on my pending application. He said I shd be hearing back from NSC shortly, since an inquiry is generated now by him. When I asked him, if this is going to jeopardise my application in any way and he said... no way since we are just trying to find out the fate of the application pending.
Thats all I had to share for now. Pls. pray for me and my pending application to be successfully processed.

One must not have immigration intent at the time of applying for F1 visa or entering USA using F1 visa. However, intent can change over time. Please google for 30-60-90 day rule.
In fact, one can file for I-485 after 90 days of F1 visa status, if he/she is otherwise eligible.

then read the I-485, says excatly the same thing
you cxan add all the evidence you wat, that's fine
but it is not set forth as a requireemnst, in fact it's clearly excluded for EB petitioners.

We received the snail mail welcome notice today after receiving the email ADIT stuff last Tuesday (August 10). That makes it five business days. On the notice it says that we should receive our permanent resident card within three weeks. Anybody who actually received it within three weeks?
