I did not take infopass appointment. I called the Customer Service on May 6th and opened a service request and today I got a request for evidence from USCIS. I am able to see this online but did not receive any letter. I think we should receive the letter by the end of the week...very frustrating...

Soft LUD on 05/17, 05/18 and on 05/24
Got receipts on 05/21
Yesterday (05/25) got ASC notice for FP for my wife.. is FP needed for EAD??
I thought last time we got FP notice.. it said app type as I-485.. that time.. in July fiasco.. we had applied for 485/EAD/AP all together
Have not got my FP notice yet
I have a Que - my daughter is 7 and initially the attorney had applied for EAD for her too... but then after the first time (2007) I did not apply for her EAD.. I thought no point in wasting $340 every time..
Now since FP notices are coming for my wife and hopefully for me - how about FP notice for my daughter? Do I need to apply for EAD for her.. to get FP notice?
If I don't get FP notice for her - will her Case be ok?

The first step you should get your employer to do is to file a job order in the state job bank or americas job bank. You have to keep this ad for 30 days and then wait another 30 days to file PERM. This is the longest time. All other forms of recruitment needs to wait only 30 days and you can file PERM on the 31st day. There is no mention of working days or weekends, it is 30 continuous days. As you know in addition to this job bank order, and two Sunday newspaper ads, there has to be three other forms of recruitment before you can file PERM. If your employer and lawyer are really proactive it will only take 60 days to file PERM from start to finish. You also have to get a prevailing wage determination and post it at your job site for 10 days not including holidays and weekends. Hope this helps. I'm from ATL and the latest i could get an infopass at ATL local office is on August 12th. My EAD expires Aug 22nd. I will have to ask him what to . Does anbody know if there is an interim EAD and if so, will they give it immediately or is there a "process" for that also.

it is possible that SA 180 is merged with 187, as I read ( I can post) the Senate discussion verbatim and Senator Kennedy introduced SA187. And the CR record has these confusing.

I just got my wife's medical done ...from the same place where I got mine.
There is not need of the xray. If you have proof of vaccination good else they will take some of your blood and do your immunization test and return the SEALED envelope after 3 days. cost $190

Also on a side note, Do you know how long does it take to get the report once the tests are done?

Is this happening this year too - TSC is giving approvals and not NSC? Last Aug / September when my priority date was current - it was the same, i know of people who got approved from TSC whose PD were 12/05.

EB1 spillover may never come for some time in the future. The Indian IT companies are applying under EB1 for their PMs and Senior PMs (req: BS in any discipline + 6-7 yrs exp), labeling them as multi-national executives. They are also making the employee pay for the 140 and 485 so that the financial impact is reduced a lot by a potential rejection of the 140.
This is as much BS as labor sub. I think everybody here knows how tough it is to get EB1 classification for researchers. But what scrutiny is there for these "multi-national executives" ? All they have to do is spend some time in India or any other country as a PM or SPM, come to the US on H1B and promptly apply under EB1. :mad:

Even I have started to hear quite a few cases now that indian IT PM or manager are being labelled as multi-national executives. If this is not stopped then any relief from spillover, you can just forget about it. I have heard lot of cases now like this and we need to do something about it. Ask your employer keep everything ready backlogs will be cleared by sep 30, hope you get your LC before that and you can apply for 140 & 485 concurrent. I know it is unfair, we can't help but act smart.
Years we have been told priority date establishes your place in the queue.
We have spurned job offers and declined the new PERM process to hold on to the priority dates.
Many are still awaiting labor certifications from the backlog elimination centers. Out comes USCIS and says everyone with a LC can file I140 & I485.
People still waiting for LC with priority dates in 2003-2004 are seeing applicants who have priority dates as late as 2007 but with approved LCs through PERM walk through to I485.
Net result, USCIS is going to be flooded with applicants enough to retrogress the priority dates 3-4 years back as early as september. (Everybody with a LC will be able to file for I485 in July). So applicants with priority dates of 2007 are going to get EAD and GC, while LC backlogged 2003 applicants to have to wait for another 3-4 years before they can even file I485.

I predict that the EB3 and EB2 cutoff dates for India will reach close to each other with in next one year. At the worst, the differnce between EB2 qnd EB3 cutoff dates may be maximum of one year.
For that one of these two should happen. Eb3 should move forward and Eb2 should retrogress.
Or EB2 stays and EB3 alone moves forward.
Or EB3 stays and EB2 has to retrogress so much (to 2001)!

congrats roseball. Are you filing regular or premium 140. I haven't heard back from my lawyer/HR after the PERM email.
