Nobody is saying you to push alone. You can start working collectively under IV's umbrella. So before you start cribbing here research/read what others have been doing. Become part of IV. Start contributing time and money to IV for your own GC.
If you read my any previous posts and to repeat, there will be no issue to contribute from me or most of us here. We need an action item. Anyone with minimum common knowledge here sees there is no change in dates for the last 6 months, or even last few years. You seem to be a strong supporter of contributions, can you list one action item which we planned to take up in the last or in near future that addresses our concerns of backlogs. Now dont come back and tell me or send me a picture of July 07 campaign or your 12th grade or 10th grade marksheet. We need to be doing things of our interest EVERY single day. I do my job very good.. I know.. but I have to keep doing it everyday if I have to keep it. Similarly unless you put continuous efforts, you wont get continuous results.

might be a good question for USCIS through ombudsman as to how exactly the spill over happens, especially for eb3?
EB3 ROW is at Jun 2004. But as per latest USCIS inventory, EB3 ROW pending 485's are around 48,000. Visa numbers available every year for EB3 is approximately 42k. If you deduct the backlogged EB3 countries (4x3000) visa numbers, the total comes down to 30k for EB3 ROW. So EB3 ROW should become current or atleast Jul 07 in another 1.5 years. If this is not going to happen, it means they are diverting the EB3 numbers to some other categories.

Will the reply be made public? Grassley and Durbin wrote to TCS, Infosys and other big bodyshoppers with a list of questions. The replies were never made public.
Also, wonder if greencards issued without security clearance will be revoked? Anything is possible in this immigration circus.

I've mailed my application on 3/16 and received by Houston office on 3/18 as per fedex tracking..
I sent an email to passportcgihouston@swbell.net on friday and got the response that my application was not registered in their system..
Is there some waiting time to register the application in the system?? I'll send another mail after 2 days..hopefully it will be registered by then..

In this visa bulletin atleast they give us an idea of not to expect until the year end, So they are not giving false hope in each bulletin until october 2009!!!
So we all can predict on september onwards. Atleast we should send some flowers for passing this information.

Starsun I would request you to put in another clarification for the benefit of all so that IV Core's stand is well known and published. Predictions & calculations help people to know what the ground reality is and plan their lives. Now we don�t have people on IV whether EB2 or EB3 being sad after every VB because everyone knows when to expect what and predictions and calculations IMHO has gone a long way in correcting that situation.
I read several posts promoting advocacy which is very good however they take pride in trashing predictions and calculations for no apparent reason it seems to be in fashion / vogue. If advocacy has to be promoted it has to be done in a positive way there is no need to trash predictions and calculations at every available opportunity. Some of these immature comments are very disrespectful to the effort that is being put in my many of us on the predictions blog. If some people do not like what is being done on that blog they are really free not to visit but unnecessary comments should really stop or be moderated.

For some it is a motivating factor because they were in the dark until USCIS started publishing data. People used to think their Greencard is round the corner and had no idea about the backlog. So yes the data and estimations have helped get a clearer picture. And this has benefited our community. IV has worked for several months to get the data from USCIS through its agenda item in the past. Today USCIS is publishing data at regular intervals because IV community had participated in a mass campaign to get FOIA data from USCIS. There is a whole history of advocacy behind the data everyone is using for prediction today and it was advocacy that got things done. However they should not get stuck with it and have a more 360 degree view of the issue. For some predictions are a source of encouragement for advocacy work. People leading predictions can play an important role in giving direction to others and help solve the root cause of the problem.They should be urged use it for the advocacy work as well if possible. For example a good research document can be made to illustrate visually the extent of backlogs and wait times. This document can be then circulated to media and lawmaker offices. Do not look at predictions in isolation. Secondly, the data people are using is still incomplete and has lot of assumptions. I had posted some update on the data in the donor forum early this month based on a recent meeting. So predictions we see on the forums will not be fully correct. People need to use predictions as means rather than consider it as an end.

We have spurned job offers and declined the new PERM process to hold on to the priority dates.
Many are still awaiting labor certifications from the backlog elimination centers. Out comes USCIS and says everyone with a LC can file I140 & I485.
People still waiting for LC with priority dates in 2003-2004 are seeing applicants who have priority dates as late as 2007 but with approved LCs through PERM walk through to I485.
Net result, USCIS is going to be flooded with applicants enough to retrogress the priority dates 3-4 years back as early as september. (Everybody with a LC will be able to file for I485 in July). So applicants with priority dates of 2007 are going to get EAD and GC, while LC backlogged 2003 applicants to have to wait for another 3-4 years before they can even file I485.
Aint fair. Aint fair at all. How can this be. How can rules be changed in the middle of the game.
My advice to you is to beg, borrow, steal or kill but find a way to file for the I485. The benefits of filing for AOS - specially if you have a spouse who cannot work - far outweigh any short term struggle you may have to endure.

There may be some EB2 Indians with PD in 2002 and 2003 (with traditional non-RIR LC) got out of BEC recently. If 1,500 Indian non-RIR LCs (with EB2 PD 2003)certified recently from BEC, that is sufficent to move the date back to 2003 for India again. Having said that, it is all prediction. No one knows, except USCIS. My prediction is just based on the magnitude of 485s (800K) filed recently, as is has all kind of composition in huge manitude, apart from so many 485s already pending due to name check.

My PD, Sep 2005, is current as well and has been current since since last month but no magic emails yet. By the way, when I called the CIS today, the officer indicated that my finger print is cleared but name check is still pending. I thought they were the same? Does anyone know what the difference is between the two?

This morning I spoke to one of the Second level officer to get the SR done as I hit 90 days today, but he rejected saying they can not create as I am still with in the April 16th processing timelines. He wanted me to wait till I get my Eapedited request answered.
He is saying interim EAD can requested only if the posted processing timelines exceed 30days to our Filed date. Ridiculous. I told him, how does it matter what processing timeline TSC posts!, as per the memo if I have been waiting for more than 90days am allowed to request an Interim EAD.. But he is not ready to listen.. He started saying those processing timelines are created based on the volume, so I am not allowed it seems.. BS... I wish I had told him to increase the GC quota as there is more volume.. brainless ppl.
They dont even understand what it means to loose the jobs coz of processing delays from USCIS. All the 6 years (H1 B) perid they wanted us to have jobs without any breaks and they dont care now!!
